Q1. Memberships Cost $20 a year.Cheap, huh??? join today !!! Currently you can contact us at any of the email me links on this site.

Q2.I think the main reason people join is one of two things,1)we provide a place to hear local live music,2)we provide a place for musicians to play the blues. Other benefits or opportunities are,we strive to keep the community involved in activities/musical events we facilitate in the community. By sponsoring events or being apart of other groups presentations we engage the community's interest by playing the blues in your neighborhood.There are also things like...this website,newletters,T-shirts and events aimed at keeping blues patrons involved and/or engaged in the happenings of our society. Plus this web site has links to blues Artists and blues resources. Plus, as an added value,blacktopblues Society has become a Musicians Friend affiliate. A portion of the profits from your order is returned to blacktopblues Society for activities and events...how cool is that???

Q3.Volunteer,Volunteer,Volunteer...I know that some folks tire of hearing that word. But it is truly the best way to become involved in this or any other community group you might be interested in.Show up @ the Jams on the first Sunday of the month and investigate what is going in the local blues scene.Bring your instrument and/or your ears to make music or to listen, either way you'll find yourself engaged.

Q4.Well for starters,by this time,you've attended some community events,have listened to the music provided? It is probably one of the bands from blacktopblues Society. In the past we supported the following Organizations and events...
Tehama County Museum Jubilee (many times)
Dairyville Orchard Festival (three times)
125th Anniversary of R.B. Fire Dept.
Red Bluff Round Up Parade (six times)
MAKE-A-DIFFERENCE DAY (shasta county,five times)This is THE NATIONAL DAY OF VOLUNTEERING and everyone that participates is a STAR in their own community!!!!

2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 4TH ANNUAL "LET FREEDOM RING FESTIVAL"
shadowing the R.B.Fire Dept,FIREWORKS SHOW!!
NPR fm radio @ stations KCHO 91.7 and KFPR 88.9
Channel 9 KIXE,served the pledge drives as phone bank operators
Channel 12 KHSL & 24 KNVN (Eight appearances on "YOUR SHOW LIVE"as close as you can get to being the house band for this locally produced magazine show)
Personal Appearances to numerous to mention, banquets,weddings,parties,concerts and festivals up and down the Northstate.

Q5.Show up @ the jams on the first Sunday of the month (Currently hosted by the WEST SIDE GRANGE HALL 20794 Walnut St. Red Bluff,Ca.) Bring your instrument(s),we have sound equipment to...sing, play and improvise with members or friends.

Q6.If you're not a member, come check it out, if you like what you see...then join!!! To play @ blacktopblues functions all of your Band members need to be members of blacktopblues Society or one of our Sister Society's. That is how we can grow as a group and as a Society, thru your partcipation. It's fun and at times, it's exciting!!! Send us some press info for your band or group.

Q7. Do you have anything new planned for the website? Yes. We are going to be adding a few new pages with blacktopblues Society and other Society's event pictures. Also, we are encouraging all our members that have bands to set up web sites for their band.Actually,a website is the ultimate promotion tool in this day and age of computers. Aspiring bands should go to DomainNameSanity.com to register their domain name and set up their web site. blacktopblues Society can help out with a few things,here and there to promote your group,just ask bilcrook,that guy is into something all the time,resources...he knows where to find them.
